I'm using Encoder 4 Pro to encode a library of .wmv files in a Silverlight project. I can import the .wmv files into Expression Encoder and play them as well.

I'm encoding for Silverlight and choosing IIS Smooth Streaming. When I try to Encode, it runs for a few seconds and then fails with a Corrupt File message every time before encoding. I've tried over 10 .wmv files and they all exhibit the same behavior. Is there any type of workaround to this?

I haven't had this exact problem but a similar problem with other formats.  Things to try:

1. Can you encode some other format to IIS Smooth Streaming like an mp4 file?  Then SS is working and it may be the wmv format.

2. Convert the wmv to mp4 then try to make that SS.
