Is it possible to encode from a source file that has 7/6.1 channel audio? Whenever I try, it fails. Interested if there are any specific settings to avoid this program or if it's just a program limitation.

From what I remember (it's been a while since I left the Expression team), it supported mono, stereo, 5.1 and 7.1. I'm not sure about 6.1 frankly. If after importing, the source information doesn't show 6.1, it's likely that it's not supported and might get mixed down to 5.1 or stereo (if it's a codec EE4 ships with). If it fails to import, I would suggest looking into trying out different 3rd party codecs.
