Below is a list of data I am working on. I am trying to get total pieces fed onto each specific machine type by day. For each day, each machine runs multiple times and i would like to write a macro to 'roll up' this data and output it on to a separate sheet. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use SubTotal of Excel to get it by day

If you are familiar with SQL, you can create a Query to group the Excel data by StartDate Column and use the Query as part of the QueryTable. The second one would be elegant as once the query is entered as part of query table, all you need to do is refresh the RolledUp sheet .. it will automatically fetch based on the updated data.
