Couldn'd find a separate forum for Windows Thin PC since it was just released recently. This seems to be an appropriate forum to post but if not, please advise.

I'm testing Windows Thin PC on an old laptop that I think meets the minimum requirements. It has 1.6 Ghz of Pentium M processor and 1GB of RAM and about 40 GB of hard drive. It had 512MB of RAM initially, but I added an extra 512 MB. Trying to turn this old laptop into a thin client.

The Thin PC is installed successfully with no issue. There's a System partition of 100 MB that gets created when installing the OS (just like Windows 7) and 1 Primary partition. After the installation of the OS, I enabled the write filter by using the following command:

ewfmgr c：-enable

ewfmgr c: -enable

Then reboot the computer. After the computer is rebooted (no boot up issue), if I use the command "ewfmgr c:" it shows that the C: drive is write filter enabled. Starting from this, anytime the computer is restarted or powered down and back up again, the OS doesn't boot up. I get the Windows Recovery Error prompt and have the following option for boot-up:

4.正常启动Windows

1. Safe Mode
2. Safe Mode with Netowrk
3. Last Known Good configuration
4. Start Windows Normally

I can start Windows normally with no problem but need to go through this every time the computer is restarted. If I choose the "Last Known Good configuration" option, Windows loads up but the write filter is no longer enabled.

And, with Write filter disabled, I don't have any issue with the boot up of the OS.
