i have two visual version c++ 2010 and 2017 and when i try to open the projects solution in the older version it says"cannot be opened.do you want to remove the reference to it from the recent list?"

Did you open the projects from the Recent Projects list in the VS 2010? If so, please right click the solution name under the Recent Projects list and choose ‘Open Containing Folder’, check the solution folder is existing or not, may be this solution has be moved to other place, then we can click ‘Remove From List’ to remove this cache from the Recent Projects list, and found the solution folder and double click the xxx.sln and choose the VS version to open this solution, it will auto create the shortcut again.
