In our Kinect for Windows application, we must extend the USB 3 cable that comes bundled with the Kinect v2 -- in particular, we need to have the USB cable terminate in a right-angle.
We've found that some off-the-shelf USB 3 right-angle extenders will cause the Kinect v2 to fail. The failure is definitely caused by the extender cable, because when we remove the extender and plug the original Kinect v2 USB cable directly into the host computer (without going through the USB extender), everything works fine again.
We have not been able to figure out how USB 3 cables might be differently rated or labeled, or how we'd identify which USB cables are Kinect v2-compatible.
Can anyone recommend a brand (or source) of USB 3 extender cables that will ensure Kinect v2 compatibility?
Different termination angles of the USB cable are important for us, as mentioned above. The length of the cable is not important, even just a few centimeters would be fine.

Extension cables are not supported by the hardware. The cables in the box are the supported lengths that are tested to work only.
