Recently our VSTS search function changed and it no longer returns results for most of our users, even though they can see tasks that would match their search criteria. It does search if you know the story number, but not if you enter text. It does work for the two people that are set with administrator access.  It did used to support text searching for all users

According to the test in my machine, it worked well in my VSTS. I suggest that you could uninstall and remove the extension first, after that please try to install the extension again. Then check if the users could search test.
