Each time I start or restart my pc it gives me the following msg: " Restarting your computer is required. The computer must be restarted before updating can continue. Would you like to restart now?" How do I get rid of this msg.

This sounds like a Windows Update dialog to me. There is no way to directly disable that particular portion (that I know of); however, you could disable automatic updating of Windows from the Windows Update control panel.

There are several options in that dialog to change the behavior of Windows Update.
