I am urgently trying to install and work with ESB 2.0 but cannot load the Management Portal.
 I followed the excellent ESB2.0 install blog from QuickLearn http://www.quicklearn.com/blog/post/Getting-up-and-Running-with-BizTalk-ESB-Toolkit-20.aspx

 

I am still not yet there and when trying to access the portal I get a general error page "ESB Portal Error - Unhandled Exception" which seems to be caused from a call to one of exception services  and if I attach the debugger I can see the following error:

http://localhost/ESB.Exceptions.Service/ExceptionService.svc/GetUserSettings?username=JRJW2008%5cAdministrator that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details."}

 

So at first I thought the endpoint was down, but I can browse to it in IE and after I turned on mex I could browse the wsdl and could try to test from the WCF Test Client. When calling the service from the WCF Test Client I get a similar endpoint not available error.

 The Address property on ChannelFactory.Endpoint was null.  The ChannelFactory's Endpoint must have a valid Address specified.

Did this ever get resolved?  Is the exception service on the same machine?  Please post an answer if you found a resolution to this issue.
