Hello fellow engineers/integrators:

I am working on a Host Integration Server 2006/2009 project. In a nutshell, I would like to partition two mainframe based applications into either of two approaches:

Approach one: Two SNASubdomains that will allow me to partition the two applications. However, I am concerned if the HIS 2006/2009 clients can access two SNA Subdomains simultaneously. I may be asking for a lot with this approach.

Approach two: One SNASubdomain, but utilize a set of servers to access one application and another set of servers to access the other mainframe application.

The problem that currently exists is that when one mainframe application requires support attention, the other application is unavailable as well. The goal is to keep both up as much as possible (of course). However, if one application requires attetnion, etc., the other application is still available through HIS 2006/2009.

Any ideas about eithe approach?  I thank all in advance.
