It seems msbuild is not able to reset the license subscription grace period. It depends on Visual Studio being used regularly. What cli tool can be use to reset the grace period?

I chatted with VS support regarding this issue. He asked me to contact Visual Studio Subscriptions Team, and they asked me to post here. So I hope this is the correct place for this.

The case is that as part of our CI we access a Windows machine. Now msbuild have stopped working. This machine is configured with Visual Studio, a valid bizpark subscription and a working network connection.

Do you mean MSBuild not re-check/re-set the grace period? What is the version of your Visual Studio and where MSBuild is called from?

According to your description, it seems MSBuild not reset the license subscription grace period, but AFAIk, MSBuild not check the license subscription grace period for Visual Studio. Have you try to reinstall your visual studio? Before reinstall it, please try to forcibly removes ALL installed components of Visual Studio, then install the Visual Studio:
