    I am trying to figure out how to determine whether a people has got up or not? I think this would depend on the position where kinecet is placed, right? Just assume it is facing the bed. Any suggestion? Thanks

Using skeleton tracking to identify sitting or lying postures is not upto mark. You can use depth tracking for this but the background (the bed/mattresses) make the scene blurry to identify the user.
