I have upgraded the powershell version on Server 2008R2 to 3.0, even though NetAdapter cmdlets not working.  Then , I searched about this issue and few recommended for updating Powershell to 4.0.

But, updating to Powershell 4.0 in Server 2008 R2 supports NetAdapter cmdlets and others cmdlets too?  This cmdlets are Operating System specific or Powershell version specific?

according to the official documentation, these Cmdlets are Operating System Version specific, and require at least version Windows 8 or Server 2012.
