I have changed service account password which is used for SP Search Host controller and SP server search. I am trying to update the same password in central admin, but getting an error  "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted".

I tried same using PowerShell script, but there also same error.

Make sure that you use AC admin account for modify password.
