Dear All,

We have a server running with SharePoint 2013. In that server all the sites including the Central Admin were working fine.

Later we found the central admin is down. On checking we found another server with the same name like the existing server (with different IP) has the same url of the central admin which is configured in DNS.

Is it the central admin is down because the other server has the same url for the CA? Please suggest.

How many SharePoint servers in your farm? 

What is the error message when you access to CA? 

It may results by the other server has the same url for the CA, remove the same url in the other server and compare the results, or change the name of the other server.
