So our SharePoints search box is not working. I have no technical experience at all with SharePoint so if your going to reply, make it as Simple as possible. I am a quick learner, but its best to be non-technical to start off with.

You need to look up the detail associated with the Correlation ID you listed above in the Unified Logging Service Logs (ULS).  The specific issue that your Search service is having is referenced there.  Once you have that detail we may be able to help you fix it.  Right now there just isn't enough detail in your post to offer a solution.
