I have a people picker that I have been asked if there is a way to have person from a SharePoint List pre-populate in ?

the list that will supply the name has the names captured a People and Group column, so basically another People picker(displayname is used), but I need those names to be pre-populated based on other info in the InfoPath form. it is only 1 name  not a dropdown of names

So, basically my question is , Is there a way to have a person pre- populate with his or her name(Displayname: LN. FN)from another list into a people picker in an info path form.

Did you want to the get the manager of the user in the people picker in the InfoPath form?

If so, and if you have set the manager of the user in the Active Directory, you could get the manager of the user by the user profile service below in the InfoPath form.
