Hi All,

Every time I try to debug and deploy a SharePoint App using Visual Studio 2017 I keep getting an error message. The error message I get is "Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate Features': A timeout has occurred while invoking commands in SharePoint host process."

The SharePoint environment is a single server, SharePoint 2016, development environment. It is a not high spec environment. Is there a way I can stop my app from Timing out?

Hi,

Try to increase the time which Visual Studio waits for a SharePoint command to execute by updating below registry key.(the number may different based on your version.)

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0\SharePointTools]
