We have recently upgraded from SharePoint 2007, to 2010 and then to SharePoint 2013. In this process we also converted from Classic to Claims authentication. I have verified that both the web application and database have been upgraded to Claims successfully.

Everything seems to be working except the People Picker fields in one List. When I select Edit on any record in the list, it puts an extra "x" next to the existing entry for ANY People Picker field on the form, which looks to be a blank entry. For instance, we have a field "Assigned To", which has a saved name in it (i.e. Joe Smith x. We then have an extra X next to it:

I have a feeling this has something to do with the template as I have reverted the Edit form back to the site definition and that did not fix it. I also tried adding an additional People Picker to the form, and it displays the same extra "x". If I create a new item in the list, it Saves but then puts the "x" next to the saved entry when view in Edit mode. Also, the extra "x" only displays on the Edit form, and not on any views.

I should have mentioned this error only displays in IE, with SharePoint Foundation 2013. We do not see this issue with SP Foundation 2010.
