I have attached a windows 7 laptop to a Windows 2003 server and have all users set up on active directory. The problem is all the other PC's are XP and log in fine but when you have gone through all the set up process it states that this is a temp account and when you log off and back on again all changes have gone. I know that the accounts now add a V2 to them but I have tried to work around this by creating a v2 folder at netlogon on the server and having seperate files in here for active directory but this still does notwork. I have read that Windows 7 and 2003 server are not compatible when trying to use active directory. Has anyone found a work around ?
