I have configured external content type BDC service application and create external column in a list called ListA, all work well. I saved ListA as template and move the template in to another site collection with in the same web application where I create a list using template and external columns work here as well and can connect to the external source and pull data when create new item.

Now when I take the same template to an other existing web application in the same farm and create a list using same template my external columns are not working ( not pulling information from external source when click on new item and click on ECT button). Same permissions on both the web apps and site collections. Both web apps have service contention with the same BDC application service. Any suggestion how to make it work in other web application? Thanks

Per my test in SharePoint 2013 environment, I create an external content type, create an external column in a list, save the list as template, move the list template to another web application in the same farm, and create a list from the list template in another web application.
