Hi All,

I am building a Sharepoint Online solution, with different site levels. I am building a custom layout for all of them. There I include a search box delegate control

<div id="searchInputBox">
   <SharePoint:DelegateControl runat="server" ControlId="SmallSearchInputBox" />
</div>

At site collection level, this search box, shows the query suggestions for all my solution, good. But when I include this search box on my subsites, the scope by default is site level , like this. So I don't get many of my query suggestions

Is there any way to change the scope of this search box, to work as the Site Collection Home one?

Hi,

Please access the Site Settings of sub site, click Search Settings, check "Use the same…as parent".

The screenshot you provided is search navigation, which is different from query suggestion. Query suggestions are phrases that you want the search system to suggest to users as they start typing a query.

To get more details, could you provide a screenshot about the different site collection home search box?
