 The edit and continue option is not working when we transferred the code from VS 2008 to VS 2012. In VS 2008 a running program could be paused and we were allowed to make changes in the code and then again resume the program.  But in VS 2012 when the running program is paused it is not allowing to make any changes in the code unless the program is stopped. Please advise what should be done to overcome this.


And as intelliTrace was one of the error messages shown , i tried to disable it. But in our VS 2012, under Tools-Options->
there is no option IntelliTrace. What should I do to get this option?

You can turn on Edit and Continue here:  Debug->Options and Settings->Edit and Continue->"Enable Edit and Continue"

Right under "Debugging" in the options window is "Intellitrace" - on the general page there's the option to disable it.
