Doing so can resolve my actual issue of "Lookup threshold error" in Power apps and Flow. Why, obsolete sharepoint status columns in my lists are complex type lookup columns adding to the threshold of 8-12 lookup columns per list per app. On Prem is easy, but SharePoint Online sets this as read-only and I cant change the properties.

Can you try disassociating the workflow from your list. Also try to delete the previous workflow instances if any
