The OOTB "Workflow Task (SharePoint 2013)" was edited for a workflow instead of creating a custom one. I would like to reset it back so that can be used as template for custom content types without being modified. What should be included in this content type and what order should the columns be in? Anything else need to be done to bring it back to its original OOTB status so it can be used as a template?

There is no easy way to restore the "Workflow Task (SharePoint 2013)" content type.

As an alternative, you could check the differences between this content type and the default content type. Update the content type, change it back to the original.
