So Ill start this out by saying im sure there are a ton of threads started about this topic. Ive been researching this for a while now and cannot find a straight answer or solution.

Background: I developed a sharepoint 2013 site off the cloud storage for my company. Its coming down to the final stages and I'm throwing it on a server. But as i've been reading, that cannot be done because publishing was enabled by default and once its enable or disabled you can no longer save as template to put it on a server.

Problem: The site is huge and I obviously can't save it as a template to put it on the server. From what I've read this is the only option. So my question is, what can I do before I end up developing the website all over again? Was going to just start the SharePoint site on the server and remake all the pages and apps etc..

We can save a site with publishing feature enabled as a template, but the point is some functions which are provided by publishing feature will not work properly when saving the site as template. So it is not recommended to save a site with publishing feature enabled as a template.
