Hi All,

I want to make an interactive wallpaper application using .NET framework. I am wondering if that is possible or not since I am not very familiar with .NET library or its full features very much. The interactive wallpaper application is going to be like the desktop background on Windows XP, Vista, or 7, but you can use it like a typical form window. If it is possible, what library do I use and/or what guide can I follow as a sample?

I also want desktop items placed in a scrollable section of the application. Do I need a separate library for this particular feature? If so, what library is it?

First, what you''re refering to was called Active Desktop and was normally an HTML page or HTA application, not an .EXE executable. This was removed from Vista and 7, probably because of security risks.

There are replacements for this, but they are all third party and whether or not they are programmable is up to the vendor.

If you''re looking to write a Desktop replacement that does this, you''ve bitten into a HUGE project and it doesn''t sound like you''ve got the skill set for this yet.
