I have an Xml file on the web server that I will update every other day. I am using XpathDocument and XslCompiled transform to load and transform the document. This is fine and works great. Also I have a collection of dropdownlists that search the xml document. However when I change the xml File and reload the webpage the dropdownlists change and show new results, but the main gridview doesn''t.

Is this a cache problem? or something else and can it be updated more quickly?

My guess is you need to change the data source of the grid view, or maybe you forgot to databind after you changed the data source.
