Hi,
we are planning to move BT 2013 projects to BT 2016.
As I am new to Biztalk, no idea how can I proceed?
(I have already got BT2016 installed lab server)
(I have moved existing projects in BT 2013 to BTDF i.e. deployed existing BT 2013 projects using BTDF)
I have thought something like that:
I can get the same solution and try to open that in VS 2015(BT 2016)
rebuild each BT Project
and deploy the solution using BTDF(is it a best practice)?
Does BT2016 ships with BTDF 5.7 already or do I need to install it manually from codeplex?

Recently Microsoft released a Migration tool which can easily migrate your BizTalk Applications from one Server to another Server. You can try that out.
It will migrate your Apllications,hosts,HostInstances,Assemblies,Handlers etc.
Please find the below Screenshot
you can Select the Features you want and then Click give your Source Management DB Instance and then click Export.
After that if your Destination Management DB is also compatible from the same Place. you can give it and select Import. it will have all your Features present in it.
its worth a try.
This Tool Doesn't require any code. its basically a kind of lift and shift migration and it will be very quick.
if you want to do from the code,BizTalk 2016 doesn't get BTDF with in it. you need to download and install it and crate the MSI for each Solution and then Deploy your Project.
