I have an issue where the Approval Rule is not firing. This happened in the past and was corrected by a full SharePointserver farm restart, but obviously I cant keep doing that.

The rule is correct, because if I run it manually the status updates are approved.

The rule is not firing on its own, I'm curious if i can find out what service is responsible for initiating the rule?
