I am getting this error when I browse webservice which is nested in Sharepoint website.
I see a lot off these erros in event log with some of them warnings.

I think you will face issues when your webservices are under sharepoint directory. I faced similar problem with profile system and has comeup with an work-around for this issue - hope this will solve your problem.
