I want to make a UWP app that has transparent background (NO background) for viewing certain data in a compact way with custom images/designs that aren't stuck in the design of the old ugly box, and blurred out is not an option I want to use. Is there a way for a transparent/no background, or can I take a screenshot of the screen ignoring the app and dynamically set that to the background?

Currently, UWP apps could not create backgrounds that are totally transparent. As an alternative way, I suggest that you could try to use Acrylic material to fill your background. Acrylic is a type of Brush that creates a partially transparent texture. You can apply acrylic to app surfaces to add depth and help establish a visual hierarchy.
