How do you adjust a resources hours after setting a baseline? Say if a PM wants to state that a resources worked worked more hours on a particular tasked then what was expected.

保存基线时，实际上将工作复制到基线工作中，该工作应保持与项目其余部分一样。然后在项目生命周期中，PM将更新项目计划，从而更新工作。最后，当资源对任务进行一些工作时，PM将会更新实际工作，然后是剩下的工作。然后计算工作如下：实际工作+剩余工作。

When you save a baseline, you actually copy work into baseline work which should stay as is for the rest of the project. Then during the project lifecycle, the PM will update the project plan thus update the work. Finally when resources do some work on tasks, the PM will update the actual work, then the remaining work. Work will be then calculated as following: actual work + remaining work.
