Is there a way to make it authenticated stream ie.. a user should not be able to take directly using windows media player if I am doing broadcast to port 8080 but require to put a user name and password..

The Encoder's built in server does not support authentication for PULL broadcasts. If you're the administrator or the network on which you're broadcasting there are other access restrictions that can be employed but they're external to the Encoder itself.
