I've found this with multiple versions of the driver, 1404 - 1407 have been tested. I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers multiple times, updated to the latest version of the BIOS for my motherboard (Gigabyte Z87X-D3H), tried all (8) USB 3.0 ports on the back and front.

This behaviour appears both with the depth and colour streams. I have rebuilt the D2D samples with both the vs110 and vs120 toolset.

The only way I can get frames continually from the Kinect is if I kill the KinectMonitor and KinectService, and then open the KinectStatus utility.

Hi Dustin:  can you please clarify:  are you using our included samples and they are failing?  Are you running our samples directly or are you using them as a starting point for something else?  If you are modifying the samples, then did you remember to call release on the depth or IR frames?
