I am having the following issue when trying to read calendar events with exceptions in outlook, it seems to be intermittent and more easy to reproduce on an exchange account vs local PST.  Here is a general outline of the steps I am doing to reproduce.

After step 2 if I do something like close/reopen outlook OR add another item to this calendar folder the issue is not reproducible.  It seems to be an issue with OL not flushing the change immediately.  Is there a way to force this so I can reliably read the recurring exceptions from the record?  This issue also can also occur in outlook spy if I view the record and recurring exceptions but usually only If I am quick enough to open it.  There just seems to be some kind of arbitrary delay when a recurring exception change is made and when its available in the API.

Outlook caches the last appointment item. You can try to release the appointment and reopen it, but your mileage will vary depending on whether that appointment is opened in an inspector etc.
