Hello,

I am currently unable to create an Azure Automation Account in the Azure Portal.  My account has the Global administrator role.

When I select "Automation Accounts" from the services list I notice that it says "No subscriptions in <Directory name>, presumably this is relevant to the issue I have next:

When I click Add or "Create automation account" I get taken to a blade for creating a free account.  It is as though I do not have permissions to create Azure Automation accounts in my company's subscription.

Please can someone advise what permissions I need in order to view the relevant subscription and to be able to create an automation account and runbook.

In case it is relevant when I go to the Subscriptions resource I do not see any subscriptions there either, although perhaps that is because I am not a Billing Administrator (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/users-groups-roles/directory-assign-admin-roles#billing-administrator) ?

What happens if you click on your profile picture and then select "Switch Directory"?

You can also click on the "filter" icon next to the Bell icon at the top of the screen to select which subscription you see items for.  I would remove the check on your free account if it is listed.
