We are currently using Azure MFA cloud with NPS server (NPS Extension installed) and a gateway to connect to internal network resources remotely. Currently we are using the Microsoft Authenticator app and phone call options and they work great. Some users dont have smart phone and i was wondering if it possible to also have the SMS option work with our setup (Azure MFA + NPS + Gateway). When i try it doesn't seem to work correctly. The remote connection attempt will just time out. I dont imagine this will be an option for the gateway as there is no area to enter the sms code.
