I created a form library template for SharePoint 2016 using infopath 2013.  All columns of date datatype in the form show up as read only on the list column page of the form library. When I tried to promote it through the publish wizard, the "Allow users to edit data in this field..." check box is grayed out.   I am trying the set those dates in associated workflow.  How do I make those fields editable?

Hi kenxchen- what date columns are you trying to edit? Are they date pickers? Without knowing that, I suggest you copy the data to text fields so you can work with them.
