Hi,

We have SharePoint Sever 2016 farm (On Premise) with two web frond end WFE1, WFE2 (with distributed cache), one application and one DB server.

On which server do we need to install workflow manager?

We installed it on WFE2 (with distributed cache). And Installed WFM client on other farm server.

However we are facing issues. Workflow gets stuck on starting. Please suggest how can we fix this. Use who is uploading documents is admin / owner and has full control on site.

1. WFM client needs to be on all the SharePoint servers in the farm, not just on one.
2. Since you are getting an unauthorized error I would check your User Profile service.  90% of workflows require that the user initiating the workflow has a profile and a valid email address or you'll get just this kind of error.
