I''ve recently joined several others in attempt to discourage Steve Santos
from advertising his PC Datasheet business on CDMA. Among the hundreds of
professional consultants who contribute to CDMA, Steve is the only one that
persistently violates the charter prohibition on advertising. I think
ignoring Steve''s actions threatens the survival and continued success of
CDMA.

Despite his advertising, foul language and name calling, if a significant
percentage of the CDMA regulars would prefer that I stop, I will.

Is there any point? He clearly intends to continue and I fear that attempts
on here to persuade him otherwise will be futile and merely fan the flames.
You can''t teach someone intelligence and I think that the only way he will
be stopped is with help from his ISP. How likely is that? Not very IMO.

I think that we will just have to hope that all other ng users do not follow
his lead and instead continue to respect the charter (and other users) and
not fill it with spam. At the end of the day, if someone wants to hire a
developer they''re hardly going to come here regardless of what he may claim.

Oh and there''s just a little suspicion I have that the whole thing is a huge
troll and that we''ve all been "had" :o) On the other hand I have an image
of a fat bearded bloke saying things to himself like "I will return to my
comic book store where I dispense the insults rather than absorb them".
