I did that one time in the 80''s for QuickBasic for the Macintosh.
For us to think that a giant like Microsoft will listen to us is naive to
say the least. Microsoft decision to abort support on a product is based on
lifecycle, demand, and how much money the future is projected to bring in.
Microsoft has a horrible record when it comes to listening to developers''.
One person I knew at MS once told me, "We (MS) drives the development groups
with what we feel their direction should be. Not the other way around."
Arrogant, but true.
Don''t get me wrong, I am a die hard VB''er who just can''t stand dot net
(because it is so different).
