I have just started vb.net (june 2003) and me and my fellow students are
playing some tricks on each other(not harmfull) I have already managed to
shut down the pc without saving anything when the program is run can anyone
suggest anything else i can do. If you do not whant to give the code that is
fine just give me a idea and i will try and figure it out on my own ...
good way to learn the language.

virus?
And I dont think you will make that, but someone who gets it from you can
maybe make it from what you did make.
I find it dangerous.

no nothing that will attack a system or reveal any sort of info to me.
I was thinking of Prank style things like a mock format I wrote that looked
exactly like the real format of win xp and had a icon of a windows media
player file (.mp3).This was sent to my friend(email) who when he tried to
listen to this mp3 in advertendly ran my fake format program and thought he
was actually formatting the hardrive when infact it was just a timer used
to make it look like the progress bar is slowly moving.
I do not want to know about retrieving or damaging any part of the other
persons pc it is purely for pulling pranks on my fellow students and friend.
I am very happy at the place I am studying and do not want to do anything to
harm my chance of graduating.I just want to make the boring parts(like
system analysis) worth the trouble by having a laugh.
