我不需要/想要一个完整的门户工具。我正在寻找的是一个
系统，可以轻松创建和发布newsitems，最好是支持多个类别的

Due to the massive amount of choices in free php-based cms-systems, I
thought I''d ask this group for help picking the right one.
I don''t need/want a fullblown portal tool. What i''m looking for is a
system that makes it easy to create and publish newsitems, preferably
with support for more than a single category, and easily embed the
latest x in my own pages somehow.
I''m thinking simple traversion of the latest news and functions for
fetching/formatting the various fields (subject/ingres/message body)
is just what i''m looking for here..?
The hard part is user-friendly news creation/publishing. Picture
upload, preferably more than one is a must, as well as reasonably
easy-to-use text formatting.
Some kind of wysiwyg-editor would be ideal, I think, unless they''re
very browser dependant..?
Nice if the posting-interface is easily embedded in my own design as
well, but not really critical, as that won''t be accessible to end
users anyway. It has to be simple, though, and no options showing
except for the _create newsitem_ one.

I was looking for something similar for my purposes and couldn''t find
anything extremely simple. It seems the CMSs try to be everything to
everyone. I kinda like phpwcms, it is pretty simple, it has a gui for
adding new articles, pictures I am yet to figure out, but it is possible.

At this point in time, the only tool I know that supports cooperative
work (ie. not a stand-alone app running on your host like CityDesk or
Cute Site Builder) and a fat client is... Lotus Notes. Sigh.

Not true - you can make some very nice interfaces with a browser
interface. Many intranets have very nice, interactive, RICH, sites.
