If you open the Toolbox toolbar there is an option to select More Controls. This is a humungous list which includes, if you look carefully, Microsoft WinSock Control Version 6.0 (SP6).

This is far from my area of expertise but as I understand it the winsock control is not bundled as standard in MS Access. It is in VB and I believe in Access developer edition.

All I can suggest for now is you look at something like this free dll. I can''t actually recommend it as I''m totally unfamiliar with it.

I''ll ask a couple of our experts more familar with networks and the api to take a look and maybe they can recommend something.
