I would also like the user to have the ability to actually type something into the Text Box if the drop down selection is not used. I''ve tried sql code in the Control Source of the Text Box but my syntax is off and I don''t know where to go to get a lesson on syntax. I am very proficient at Transact- SQL however whatever is being used in Access eludes me.

I''ve also tried setting the Control Source of the Text Box to the Combo Box. This works to an extent. It passes the selection from the Comb Box to the Text Box and allows me to type in the Text Box but then it puts that text in the Combo Box also.

I''m using Access 2002 SP3 on Windows XP.
