There''s some great help, in this forum on the combo box Not in List event and it works fine for me. I can recognise the event, accept the newdata, add some additional record info via a form and requery the combobox. This puts the new info in the combobox but the user still has to search for it. If I add, "Zachery" as newdata to my alphabetically sorted combo box, the user has to scroll down the combobox to find it.
So, is there a way to "force" the combo box to "select" this new value on this occasion? I''d though, since I am still holding "newdata" that something like (aircode) me.combobox = newdata would display in the combo box and allow the user to move on. Not so, I still have to select it from the list.
I hope this makes sense?
