I have a 1GB Samsung MP3 player which is also a voice recorder and flash disk. Pretty standard stuff these days, I know. But what I want to know is, how can I set the date and time on it?

Copying sound files to it from the PC, they take along their date/time along you''re expect. But if I use the voice recorder, the sound files it creates have some ridiculous "zero" date - at a guess, it might have been 01/01/1980 or something. If the silly thing has a calendar/clock, I need to set it so that I can tell when things were actually recorded. I have tried the manual, and scanning for anything I could find on the web, including the manufacturer''s website, but cannot find an answer.

(Yes, I know I could do something like saying the date and time at the start of the recording - not an option for practical reasons)

Sorry about the lack of specifics, but I just realised this might be somewhere I could finally get an answer. I''m at work, will have to get the model number, etc. when I get home.

As for there being no onboard clock, I''m not too sure. Though I haven''t actually used the voice recorder for a few months, I think I remember the time incrementing for each one. In other words, the clock appeared to be running, just hadn''t been set.

However, even I wouldn''t be willing to take my word for that - I really need to check.
