Scott Meyer''s books are great once you know the basics. They extend
beginner/intermediate knowledge further. His Effective C++ and
Effective STL are very good. His More Effective C++ is less so
because (unlike Effective C++) is hasn''t been updated.

Also, Herb Sutter''s books Exceptional C++ series are very good for
intermediate to advanced programmers. In fact, the whole "red book"
series is very good.
