I personally think if you''re going to learn one you should learn C#. Now, I''m not saying C++ isn''t useful but from my experience C# is used more in the industry. I also found it was easier to learn.

And I would recommend exactly the opposite ;).

C++ is standard and can be portable, while C# only works on M

systems. Of course, what I would recommend most is to learn the concepts behind programming - breaking down a problem into an algorithm and creating pseudocode out of that so that you can program it in any language (all you''d need after that is a reference to the specific language you want...).

I guess it''s one of those "depends on what you want to do..." situtations.
